The Miami Dolphins managed to pull off a miraculous victory over the New England Patriots in Week 14. Head coach Adam Gase attributes Miami's recent success to the play of quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

The Dolphins were able to secure a win for the second week in a row. According to Safid Deen of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Gase is happy with how Tannehill has performed as of late:

“He’s played the way we needed him to play the last few games,” Gase said. “He’s protected the football, found open guys and ran the offense.”

There is certainly plenty of truth to Gase's comments. Part of Miami's struggled throughout the season has been the offenses inability to put up points when they need them most. Fortunately, Tannehill has managed to pick up the slack over the last several weeks.

It is easy to get caught up in the “Miami Miracle” that saw running back Kenyan Drake score a touchdown within the final seconds of the game. However, it was Tannehill's excellent performance that put them in position to win the game in the first place. He was extremely efficient after completing 14-of-19 passes for 265 yards and three touchdowns.

Perhaps even more encouraging is that Tannehill seems to have gotten even better since returning from the shoulder injury. He has completed 47-of-68 for 606 yards, eight touchdowns, and an interception over the last three games. The Dolphins will certainly need him to maintain his high level of play of they hope to potentially sneak into the playoffs.
