Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Jarvis Landry put together the best season of his career and has been rewarded with a third straight trip to the Pro Bowl. According to Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk, Landry will replace Houston Texans wideout DeAndre Hopkins on the AFC's Pro Bowl roster.

The NFL added Dolphins receiver Jarvis Landry to the AFC’s Pro Bowl roster Tuesday, replacing Texans receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

This decision was likely made by Hopkins after he missed the first game of his career in Week 17 due to a calf injury. The 25-year-old put together one of his best campaigns this year, hauling in 96 catches for 1,378 yards and a league-best 13 receiving touchdowns.

He had five 100-receiving yard performances, highlighted by an eight-catch, 224-yard outing against the Seattle Seahawks. He finished the season sixth in receptions, fourth in receiving yards, and second in receiving yards per game (91.9).

Meanwhile, Landry becomes just the fourth player in Dolphins history to receive Pro Bowl selections in at least three straight seasons, joining Paul Warfield, Mark Duper, and Mark Clayton. He is also one of just eight receivers in team history to earn a Pro Bowl selection.

Landry led the league with a career-high 112 receptions, the highest mark in Miami history. Landry previously held the franchise record of 110 catches back in 2015.

The former LSU product also became just the fourth player in league history to notch at least five catches in all 16 regular season games. Landry has recorded at least two receptions in 63 straight games, and his 400 career catches are the most in the NFL through a player's first four seasons.
The 2018 Pro Bowl is set to take place on Sunday, January 28th at 3 p.m. ET at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
