The Miami Dolphins acquired the guy they hope will be their quarterback of the future during the NFL Draft last month, but they didn't do it by way of drafting a rookie.

Instead, the Dolphins traded a second-round pick to the Arizona Cardinals in exchange for Josh Rosen, who was chosen by the Cardinals with the 10th overall pick last year.

Rosen had a rough rookie year under center in Arizona, making 12 starts and throwing for 2,278 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions while completing just 55.2 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 66,7, but perhaps a new start in Miami will do him better.

As for how Rosen is adjusting to his new surroundings? It has not been all that easy.

“A steep learning curve,” said Rosen, according to Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post.

Rosen will be competing with veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick for the starting quarterback job, and while he isn't entirely comfortable yet, he says he is feeling more at home as time passes.

“I don’t know overall but I think much better than when I got here and better than yesterday,” Rosen said, when asked about comfort. “This is kind of the track. I couldn’t really give you a frame of reference but pretty good. Getting there.”

The 22-year-old added that the Miami coaches are putting a lot of responsibility on the quarterback's shoulders.

“They just put a lot on the quarterback,” Rosen said. “Operationally, when all of the responsibilities are sort of under one roof and it’s all under the quarterback, once you do get it down, you can go very quickly. But the thing is, you have to get it down and I’m in that process.”

Chances are, we will see Rosen under center in South Beach at some point in 2019.
