After an offseason full of speculation, quarterback Josh Rosen finally has a new home with the Miami Dolphins. Fortunately, his time with the Arizona Cardinals was not completely wasted.

All the turmoil that went into his brief stint in Arizona gave Rosen an early taste of business in the NFL. According to Robert Klemko of Sports Illustrated, he admits that it made him much more headstrong.

“I try to put everything into perspective,” Rosen said. “If I’m bummed I’m getting traded by the Arizona Cardinals, I try to think I’m living in an awesome condo in the middle of Scottsdale. I’m on a team, I have food on my table, a good family. Life could be a lot worse, so you count your blessings and try to put good energy out into the world.”

There is certainly plenty of truth to Rosen's comments. Although his issues with football may seem like a dire problem in the short-term, they pale in comparison to the grand scheme of things. He is arguably one of a few young players that are able to put things like this into perspective.

Rosen's comments are indicative of his mindset when it comes to football. He has caught plenty of flak for reportedly being too smart for his own good. Unfortunately, it is now clear that he has had good reason to be suspicious all along.

The rising second-year quarterback has not exactly gotten a fair shake to start his career. He was thrown under center for a rebuilding Cardinals team that had yet to provide a suitable supporting cast. Fortunately, Josh Rosen is now in a position where he can develop behind a veteran quarterback in Miami. Only time will tell whether or not he will be able to bounce back with the Dolphins.
