For the third year in a row, it appears that Miami Dolphins running back Kenyan Drake is going to be splitting carries, and this year it is with Kalen Ballage. This seems to be more about what Ballage can do and how special he can be, rather than what Drake can't do.

Dolphins running backs coach Eric Studesville knows all the talent that Ballage has but says that he needs to go out on the field and prove it. Ballage is confident in his skills, but isn't too concerned about what running back is on the field as long as the Dolphins are winning.

“I'm not worried about it,” Ballage said via ESPN. “If we're a winning team, both of us are going to be able to make a whole bunch of plays and get a lot of individual stats.”

One of the big question marks surrounding Drake is how would he respond to a full workload. He hasn't had more than 133 carries in a season since high school, but he thinks he is ready for a bigger role if needed after learning a lot from Frank Gore.

“I looked at Frank last year, and he gave me a lot of wisdom in terms of his ability to be in a very grinding position at running back and still be able to do the things he does every day — how he eats and treats his body, the things he does on and off the field,” Drake said. “That's something that I wanted to implement into my career.”
