Pro Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner knows a thing or two about winning atop the highest level — to say the least. Thanks to Warner's immense and extensive catalog of football knowledge, the former St. Louis Rams and Arizona Cardinals standout is already dishing out some sound advice for Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Tagovailoa was the team's top pick in the 2020 NFL Draft after serving as one of the best players in the country during his collegiate playing days at Alabama. It is no secret, though, that Tagovailoa encountered more than a few significant injuries at Alabama, which definitely led to Warner's sage advice.

Warner is definitely not alone, however, as former Dolphins and current Alabama head coach Nick Saban previously shared a similar sentiment back in late April.

“I think Tua needs to learn a little bit about self-preservation,” Saban recently said, via ESPN. “I think most of his injuries here occurred after he could have gotten rid of the ball. He didn't have to take the hit that he took and I think that he's a great competitor and he's always trying to make the plays.

“You don't want to take that competitive spirit away but I do think that there's a time when he needs to get rid of the ball so that he doesn't get hit.”

Due to the ongoing pandemic that has reached global lengths, though, it remains to be seen as to how exactly the upcoming NFL season will be affected. This could obviously have a major impact on the oft-injured Tagovailoa as well with the former collegiate standout now officially gearing up for become a rookie quarterback in 2020-21.
