Throughout the last several weeks, the Miami Dolphins have been one of the several teams at the top portion of the draft that reportedly has interest in bringing aboard another quarterback. There a few intriguing talents in this year's draft class that could potentially be long-term solutions for various franchises.

Among those quarterbacks gaining steam heading into the draft is former Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson, who has worked out with a couple teams in the last few days. According to Craig Mish of SiriusXM Radio, the Dolphins are the latest on that list with a workout with him on Frida morning.

The possible interest in Jackson could come due to the fact that each of the other top four projected quarterbacks in this year's class could more than likely be off the board at the 11th overall pick. Head coach Adam Gase is believed to have significant intrigue in both Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield and UCLA”s Josh Rosen. However, both appear to be set to be taken in the top five selections later this month.

Meanwhile, Jackson has been projected to be available in the range where the Dolphins are on the board in the first round. He could be on the radar for the team looking to find a possible eventual replacement for Ryan Tannehill, who has struggled with injuries over the last couple of years. Jackson would be an interesting fit given what he brings to the table as a dual-threat quarterback that could impact the game greatly in those two regards.

There will likely be no urgency to get him on the field with Tannehill slated to be the starter after missing the entire 2017 season due to an ACL tear. Jackson or any other quarterback brought in would likely sit behind the 29-year-old to further develop his skill set until the situation presents itself for them to step in. Nonetheless, the Dolphins are another team that can be added to the list of interested teams in Jackson.
