The NFL is taking precautions against the coronavirus outbreak happening around the world. Regardless, it seems this has not stopped the Miami Dolphins from doing their due diligence ahead of the upcoming NFL Draft.

While many teams have opted to shut down their facilities in response to the pandemic, the Dolphins still went ahead and brought in Ohio State running back J.K. Dobbins for a visit, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport:

Miami's move to continue with the scouting process at a time when many other teams have shut down activities for the time being is certainly interesting. Although the report indicates the Dolphins are “proceeding with extreme caution,” the ideal course of action seems to be the one being taken by other professional sports leagues: a temporary suspension of operations.

Regardless, it is clear that the Dolphins are hoping to take advantage of this situation by doing all their homework with the 2020 NFL Draft just around the corner. It appears they are exploring the prospect of filling their void in the backfield with a promising rookie talent this offseason.

Dobbins is pegged as one of the best running backs in the upcoming draft and is expected to be a first-round talent. Miami was clearly adamant about getting to know him sooner rather than later.
