There was a time when the Miami Dolphins had hope that DeVante Parker would eventually develop into a legitimate No. 1 wide receiver. Well, it appears they have run out of patience.

According to Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald, the Dolphins are expected to release Parker along with defensive ends Robert Quinn and Andre Branch.

Parker had yet another disappointing season in 2018, playing in just 11 games and hauling in 24 receptions for 309 yards and a touchdown in what was his least productive NFL campaign yet.

The 25-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Louisville, was originally selected by Miami in the first round (15th pick overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.

He had a very quiet rookie year, catching just 26 passes for 494 yards and three scores. The following year, Parker looked a bit better, snaring 56 balls for 744 yards while reaching the end zone four times, but in 2017, he took a step back, finishing with 57 catches for 670 yards and one touchdown.

Quinn was, at one time, a dominant force along the then-St. Louis Rams defensive line, racking up 57 tackles, 19 sacks, and seven forced fumbles during the 2013 campaign.

However, in his first year with the Dolphins in 2018, Quinn was fairly disappointing, totaling 38 tackles and 6.5 sacks.

Branch, a former second-round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars, has spent three seasons in South Beach, but this year was his least productive campaign of all, as he accumulated a meager 25 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

The Dolphins went 7-9 this season and will likely look awfully different in 2019.
