Brock Osweiler is looking for a new job. After failing to impress when he got the chance to start with the Denver Broncos last season, Osweiler has not exactly been part of the crazy free-agent quarterback carousel this offseason.

However, the 27-year-old quarterback is set to take his first free-agent visit on Thursday as he meets with the Miami Dolphins.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter:

Former Broncos’ QB Brock Osweiler is visiting today with the Miami Dolphins, as @CraigMish reporter. His first free-agent visit this off-season. Osweiler and Adam Gase worked together in Denver.

Osweiler was able to play six games (with four starts) in Denver last season as part of their dysfunctional quarterback situation. He lost all four games he started, completing 56 percent of his passes for 1,088 yards, five touchdowns, and five interceptions.

As Schefter noted, Osweiler and Gase do go back a long way as they worked together in Denver. Gase was the quarterbacks coach when Osweiler cam into the league in 2012 and was also the offensive coordinator in the two years after.

Osweiler obviously won’t start for Miami with Ryan Tannehill set to come back from a torn ACL and reclaim his starting spot. The Dolphins could also pick up a quarterback in the draft to groom as their next starter.

But if they don’t draft a QB, they do have an opening for a backup with Matt Moore also a free agent. However, there’s an argument to be made that Moore has been the more accomplished NFL quarterback than Osweiler, so it wouldn’t make much sense if they replaced him with the former Bronco.
