The Miami Dolphins have moved on from defensive end Tank Carradine just a few weeks after he was signed:

Carradine was signed by the Dolphins in the offseason and seemed to be a lock to make the roster after starting the first three preseason games. Instead of keeping him on the 53 man roster, they decided to release him on cutdown day.

Jonathan Ledbetter went down with an injury in Week 1, and the Dolphins signed Carradine back to the active roster. Carradine said he felt like he still had a lot to prove after being released before the start of the regular season:

“I feel like I’ve still got a lot to prove,” Carradine said, via the Miami Dolphins. “The situation that happened, it kind of caught me off guard because I knew they felt that they made the best decision for the team, but that’s something I had to deal with. I had to overcome it, so I just went back and I started training and do things, if I get back on the team make sure something like that won’t happen again.”

Carradine was a second-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers in the 2014 draft. Although never elite, he has been a solid NFL player.

It's unclear if there is another team interested or if the Dolphins could bring him back later in the year, but it looks like he didn't do the things necessary to make sure he wasn't released again. The recent acquisition of Taco Charlton also didn't help Carradine's case.
