The legendary Dan Marino is not here for the comments from the peasantry about his old age, as the Dolphins have just sent the football giant to the Senior Bowl.

According to the Miami Herald, even though the Dolphins are a bit short-staffed — they still don't have a head coach, or much of a coaching staff at all to be frank — they still managed to send Marino out to scope potential quarterbacks for the team.

Missouri quarterback Drew Lock realized he was in the presence of greatness, and told the outlet that he couldn't have been more thrilled to meet Dan Marino.

“I was shaking everybody’s hand, and then was like, ‘Who’s that? Oh my god, that’s Dan Marino. When I’m sitting in the chair, he’s back here [behind me] when I’m answering questions. You feel it. You really feel a presence in the room.”

We've all been there, Drew.

Lock also said that Marino was one of about a dozen Dolphins in attendance at the Senior Bowl, though he didn't get into too much detail about who, specifically, was in the presence of football's royalty.

It's worth noting that Marino's presence at the Senior Bowl made the news because he holds so many titles — vice chairman, president, and CEO — and this move is usually the stuff of head coaches.

Chris Grier is still the Dolphins' general manager, however.

That said, it's expected that Dan Marino will announce the inclusion of presumptive head coach Brian Flores to the Miami Dolphins' lineup shortly.
