The AAF (Alliance of American Football) sadly came to an end prematurely. Therefore, players that were in the spring football league are able to sign with NFL teams.

The Miami Dolphins decided to sign Michael Dunn—an offensive lineman—according to NFL Draft Diamonds. Dunn played for the Birmingham Iron in the AAF league.

The 24-year old has spent a small amount of time in the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams. Dunn played in college at the University of Maryland.

The Dolphins need to address their offensive line issues—whether it be starters or depth. In 2018, Miami allowed 52 sacks (tied for fifth-most in the NFL).

Ryan Tannehill is no longer the quarterback so currently, the Dolphins will need to focus on protecting the hero we need but don't deserve—Ryan Fitzpatrick.

In reality, the Dolphins could easily select a quarterback with their 13th overall pick. Then, there would probably be a quarterback battle going into training camp.

Last season, the Dolphins started Laremy Tunsil and Zach Sterup at their offensive tackle spots. Currently, Miami lacked depth behind their offensive tackle positions.

It's nice to see that players from the AAF are getting opportunities in the NFL. The demise of the AAF wasn't due to the product that the players were putting out.

It came down to the guys who were running the league and there was no organization within the league.

Now, we've seen dozens of players who made a name in the AAF sign a contract with an NFL franchise.
