There has been plenty of speculation regarding a potential deal between the Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans ahead of the 2019 NFL season. It appears Miami may be looking for quite the return for left tackle Laremy Tunsil if Houston plans on moving linebacker Jadeveon Clowney.

According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, the Dolphins are looking for another quality pick on top of Clowney and a first-rounder:

The Houston Texans have dangled a first-round draft choice and Pro Bowl edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney in a proposed trade for Dolphins left tackle Laremy Tunsil, but the Dolphins have asked for more than that, according to two league sources.

According to one person briefed on the discussions, the Dolphins have asked the Texans for another high draft pick in addition to Clowney and a first-round pick.

Although Clowney has been tied to multiple teams so far, the Dolphins have appeared as the top landing spot after meeting with him face-to-face. He has been a holdout from training camp and the preseason after refusing to sign his franchise tag tender this offseason.

The prospect of Houston parting ways with Clowney and a couple of high draft picks may seem like a bit much. Although Tunsil has established himself as one of the most promising, young tackles in the NFL, Miami is still getting a three-time Pro Bowl edge rusher in return.

It appears the Dolphins brass is looking to take advantage of the Texans' desperate need for an upgrade along their offensive line.
