The Miami Dolphins went head-to-head with the Arizona Cardinals in Week 9. Coming off a surprising win over the Los Angeles Rams the week prior, and with rookie Tua Tagovailoa in at quarterback, momentum was on their side.

However, something happened in this game to derail that. Wide receiver Preston Williams was on his way to a massive game (four receptions for 60 yards and a touchdown).

However, as Adam Schefter of ESPN tweeted out, an injury forced him to be carted off the field and he was ruled out of the game.

That's obviously terrible news. It's a scary injury too. Being carted back to the locker room always makes an injury look ten times worse.

There is some good news though. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network also took to Twitter. He had some more information, and it was a little bit more positive.

The X-Rays came back negative. Just so we don't have any confusion (like Michael Scott), when it comes to things like this, “negative” is actually a good thing. That means they did not find anything wrong with the area.

As Rapoport points out, that means it was likely a sprain. Still painful, but obviously much better news than a break or fracture or anything.

In fact, there is a good reason to believe that Williams could be out there for the next game that the Dolphins have. Obviously, he was ruled out for the remainder of their game against Arizona, but he can still be a factor in their next contest.

Williams and the Dolphins have been building momentum. Even with a switch at quarterback, they have not really missed a beat.
