The first year of the Josh Rosen experiment did not go all that well in South Beach. Rosen made just six appearances and three starts for the Miami Dolphins in 2019, throwing for 567 yards, one touchdown and five interceptions while completing 53.2 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 52 before being usurped by veteran journeyman Ryan Fitzpatrick for the remainder of the year.

However, in spite of the fact that Rosen was horrendous in his first season with the Dolphins and that Miami may very well draft a quarterback with the fifth overall pick this spring, Armando Salguero of The Miami Herald says that the 23-year-old is likely to stay with the Dolphins heading into 2020.

Miami acquired Rosen in a draft weekend trade with the Arizona Cardinals last year, sending a third-round pick to the Cardinals in return.

In spite of the fact that Rosen was the 10th overall pick in 2018, the Dolphins don't appear to have much belief that he can be the club's franchise quarterback moving forward, as Salguero notes that Miami brass has not even really mentioned Rosen when talking about the situation under center this offseason.

Rosen played in 14 games and made 13 starts for Arizona during his rookie campaign and was largely unimpressive, throwing for 2,278 yards, 11 touchdowns and 14 picks while completing 55.2 percent of his passes and registering a passer rating of 66.7.

The fact that he was unable to get much playing time on a rebuilding Dolphins team this past year is obviously not a good sign for him going forward, and the fact that he is apparently remaining on the roster going into next season is probably nothing more than a formality at this point.
