This past week rumors had circulated and then were confirmed that the Miami Dolphins would be bringing in New New England Patriots defensive coordinator Brian Flores. Another decorated hire from the Bill Bellichek coaching tree, the Dolphins are trying to emulate the success of their division rival.

Flores has yet to officially join the team, as the Patriots are still heading to their third straight Super Bowl. Flores is a Patriots lifer `and has been with the team for over 15 years. He rose the ranks, starting out as a scouting assistant and then just last season becoming the head of the offense.

Flores is bringing in coaches from all over the league to join his staff, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. New York Giants outside linebackers coach Robbie Leonard and Jacksonville Jaguars defensive line coach Marion Hobby are both confirmed to be joining his staff.

They've already committed to bringing in New England Patriots WR coach Chad O’Shea as the offensive coordinator. The Dolphins offense will need a reboot, as Ryan Tannehill has been quite disappointing in the past few years. His lack of consistency and ability to stay healthy are issues that Flores will have to reassess moving forward.

The Dolphins are probably the second best team in the division behind the Patriots. Miami is under a special new regime led by former Patriots staffers. The Dolphins will have to add more offensive ability and lock down their defensive identity coming into next season.

Last season the Dolphins went 7-9 and finished second overall in the AFC East Division.
