The Miami Dolphins have managed to shore up some stability under center this offseason with the addition of quarterbacks Ryan Fitzpatrick and Josh Rosen. It seems one has already begun to establish themselves over the other thus far in OTAs.

Reports suggest the quarterback play has notably improved from what transpired in Miami last year. According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, one anonymous player says Fitzpatrick gas looked like the better option so far:

One player, who did not want to speak publicly, said Ryan Fitzpatrick has been the best of the quarterbacks so far but that Josh Rosen also has played well.

This is certainly an interesting development coming out of Miami. The Dolphins made quite the investment under center this offseason by signing Fitzpatrick to a two-year deal before trading a second and fifth-round picks in exchange for Rosen. They indicated that they would be open to a competition between the two for the starting job and it seems to have come to fruition up to this point.

The report of Fitzpatrick's superiority may be a cause for concern. Fans were hoping that the former first-rounder would be able to establish himself as the clear-cut starter. However, that does not seem to be the case thus far. Regardless, they can take solace in the fact that the veteran is still capable of putting on a show like he did last year during his hot start to the 2018 campaign. Even if Fitzpatrick is pegged as the starter, it will give the Dolphins more time to work on Rosen's development before they ultimately decide to hand the keys to the offense over to him.
