Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and wide receiver DeVante Parker of the Miami Dolphins received important updates to their injuries before their Week 9 game versus the Houston Texans. Head coach Brian Flores is optimistic that his starting quarterback will be available Sunday even though there is a bit of discomfort on Tagovailoa's finger. With Parker, however, his hamstring injury has not gotten better and he looks to be unavailable against the Texans.

The Miami Dolphins currently hold a 1-7 record and are sitting at the bottom of the AFC East. After a 10-6 record and a promising roster coming together last season, there were high hopes for this Dolphins team to put it together and make a playoff run. Yet this certainly hasn't been the case.

Former first round pick Tua Tagovailoa has missed several games with various injuries, and hasn't performed at the level many were expecting. Additionally, while Parker has displayed his ability in the past to be a first option wide receiver (2019 season), the lack of repetition with his quarterback and nagging injuries have stalled his offensive production. He currently has one touchdown to his name.

Having lost seven straight, the Dolphins are in a tough situation regarding their coach, quarterback, and constant injuries this team is facing. They will have to overcome these obstacles to key players in order to end the season strongly.
