Just hours after the Kansas City Chiefs gave Tyreek Hill permission to seek a trade, they've now shipped him off to the Miami Dolphins for a boatload of draft picks.

Via Adam Schefter:

This is an absolute shock considering how important Hill has been to the Chiefs' success over the years, but once contract negotiations broke down, they allowed him to explore opportunities elsewhere. The Dolphins will be ecstatic to get one of the most electrifying and versatile offensive weapons in the NFL, making their offense that much better for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

The Chiefs now receive three additional picks in the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft, which could prove to be big. Nonetheless, Miami's passing game, which ranked 17th in the league last season, instantly improves. Hill is more than capable of being a threat on the ground as well, which should drastically help the Dolphins.

Also, Hill brings a veteran presence to a rather young team and will form a lethal partnership out wide with Jaylen Waddle, who is coming off a terrific rookie campaign for the Dolphins.

It's truly the end of an era for Hill and the Chiefs, but they should remain competitive after a busy offseason which saw them add JuJu Smith-Schuster and potentially Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who is visiting KC on Wednesday. He could be the immediate replacement for Tyreek Hill at Arrowhead.
