The Miami Dolphins cannot catch a break. After falling to 1-3 on Sunday with a brutal loss to the Indianapolis Colts, the Dolphins have now learned they have lost wide receiver Will Fuller for ‘a few weeks' due to a broken finger.

Fuller missed the first two games of the season after signing with Miami in the offseason and now he'll miss more time.

Fuller has made a habit of missing time since entering the NFL, playing just 50 games across his first five seasons in the league with the Houston Texans. Fuller signed a one-year, $10.6 million deal with Miami this offseason in free agency. He missed Week 1 serving the final game of a suspension that knocked him out of the final five games of the season for Houston last season.

Fuller has totaled 213 catches for 3,136 yards and 24 touchdowns across 55 career games. He has been an extremely productive player when active, but now the Dolphins will be forced to go forward without him for the foreseeable future.

Miami currently ranks 31st in the NFL in total offense through four games, ranking in the bottom five in both passing and rushing. The absence of Fuller along with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will only make things even more difficult for the Dolphins attack. If play doesn't improve on the offensive line, it may not matter who is on the field at the skill positions. Miami has now allowed their quarterbacks to be sacked 13 times through Week 4, fourth worst in the NFL. The Dolphins averaged just 5.3 yards per pass attempt, which is fewest in the NFL. Losing a deep threat is very problematic for any already struggling Miami offense.
