Miami Dolphins star cornerback Xavien Howard is out here living his best life in Miami, and he remains completely unbothered by rumors about him potentially being traded.

According to ESPN, Howard not only isn't worried about the trade rumors, he thinks he's got what it takes to be a franchise cornerback for the Dolphins.

“I seen that. No, the trade rumors do not bother me. It is what it is. It’s a business. Be prepared for it. Wherever I go, it don’t matter; I’m still going to be busting my butt.”

Fans will recall that the same thing happened last year, when Jarvis Landry's off-season negotiations resulted in him heading over to Cleveland, where he signed a five-year, $75 million contract with the Browns. However, fans will also recall that the negotiations between Miami and Cleveland got very ugly, and they couldn't come to an agreement.

But even though Xavien Howard and Jarvis Landry share the same agent (who may be able to negotiate a similar deal), Howard says that he would like to be a part of the Dolphins' rebuild.

“Most definitely. It's the team that drafted me, and I feel like I gave them my all there, man. I want to stay there. I want to be a franchise player there.”

With incoming head coach Brian Flores leading the charge for the Dolphins, it should be interesting to see how Xavien Howard develops his skill. Will he be able to become the Dolphins' franchise player that he needs to be, or will he ultimately get traded away for a healthy sum?
