Ryan Tannehill and/or whoever earns that starting Miami Dolphins quarterback position in 2018 is smiling ear-to-ear right now.

According to a league source close to Pro Football Talk, the Dolphins plan to sign former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Albert Wilson to a three-year, $24 million deal once free agency officially opens up on Wednesday afternoon.

Wilson is expected to help fill in the hole that's now present thanks to the deal sending Jarvis Landry to the Cleveland Browns.

Wilson, 25, hasn't exploded in this league as of yet.

In for total seasons, all with the Kansas City Chiefs, the 5-foot-9 weapon has only amassed 1,544 total receiving yards and seven scores on 124 receptions.

Due to his smallish stature, Wilson's greatest wide receiver spot comes in the slot. He's a quick, shifty run-after-catch receiver who can absolutely fill some of the underneath production left by the traded Landry—a player who's brilliant gift comes by way of the underneath game.
