Donald Trump and LaVar Ball have continued to engage in a war of words, stemming from the release of LiAngelo Ball in China, after being busted for shoplifting in Hangzhou. The CEO of Big Baller Brand made it known that he won't thank the POTUS for his claimed role in the younger Ball's release, as he believes that Trump did not play a part in his son being allowed to travel back to the country.
That prompted Donald Trump to give a statement, calling LaVar Ball an “ungrateful fool.” Trump once again lashed out on LaVar, comparing him to a “poor man's Don King,” and reiterating his call with Chinese president Xi Jinping, asking for the release of LiAngelo and two other UCLA basketball players.
It wasn’t the White House, it wasn’t the State Department, it wasn’t father LaVar’s so-called people on the ground in China that got his son out of a long term prison sentence – IT WAS ME. Too bad! LaVar is just a poor man’s version of Don King, but without the hair. Just think..

…LaVar, you could have spent the next 5 to 10 years during Thanksgiving with your son in China, but no NBA contract to support you. But remember LaVar, shoplifting is NOT a little thing. It’s a really big deal, especially in China. Ungrateful fool!

Donald Trump and LaVar Ball are never shy to speak their minds about different issues. Now that they are in the middle of a fiery back-and-forth, it doesn't look like it will end anytime soon.
It will be interesting to see what kind of shot Ball will direct toward the commander-in-chief, as he will most likely not remain mum about it. Given all the controversial comments he's made in the past, his next one will definitely be something worth keeping an eye on.
