New Orleans Pelicans big man Donatas Motiejunas was the subject of a number of headlines recently when it was reported that he was suing his former team, the Houston Rockets, over the matched offer he received from them during last year's free agency.

The 26-year-old Lithuanian international was given a four-year, $37 million deal by the Brooklyn Nets, but it was matched by the Rockets since he was a restricted free agent. However, the contract ended up not being honored after Motiejunas failed a physical, which led to them renouncing their rights on him. Motiejunas then sought employment from other teams causing him to end up playing for the Pelicans on a prorated minimum deal.

Now, the former 20th pick of the 2011 draft took to his Twitter account to deny that he is filing a lawsuit against the Rockets. He made it known that an agreement has already been reached last month, through the help of the NBPA.

This is definitely good news for both parties involved as a resolution has been made before reaching the court. Now playing for New Orleans, he hopes to receive more playing time with them next season and be part of their regular rotation. He can be a solid contributor for them, as he has shown in the past by producing decent numbers.

In 2014-2015, which is his best campaign in the NBA, Motiejunas averaged 12.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game for the Rockets.
