Borussia Dortmund phenom Erling Haaland is arguably one of the best strikers on the globe right now, which means just about every European giant is interested in his services. While the Norwegian is under contract with the Bundesliga club until 2024, a €75 million release clause will come into play next summer. That being said, the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, and Man City, among others, are ready to try their luck with the talisman.

Haaland's father, Alf-Inge Haaland recently spoke on his son's future and hinted at the possibility of him actually staying at Dortmund. Via Arilas Ould-Saada of Norwegian outlet TV 2 Norway:

“We‘ll see about that. Look behind me, at this beautiful stadium. Now there are 67.000 people inside, but normally it’s 82.000. He’s in a fantastic club. We’ll take those things as they come.”

Haaland has been absolutely clinical during his time at Dortmund, scoring 69 goals in 70 appearances since joining in December of 2019 from Red Bull Salzburg. He's currently out with an injury, but the 21-year-old is off to another fantastic start this term, netting 13 times across all competitions, including nine goals in Bundesliga action. Marco Rose's side is currently second in the table and just a point behind league leaders Bayern Munich.

There's no doubt that Dortmund will be keen on keeping the Norway international, but it does feel like he has nothing left to accomplish in Germany. His father gave a very good answer because no one can speculate at this point. Haaland will be focused on helping BVB win this season, but they're desperately missing his presence right now after a 3-1 defeat to Ajax in the Champions League on Wednesday. He's not expected back until the new year.
