The first-ever Dota 2 Major from the Dota Pro Circuit will be coming this August with the Dota 2 Arlington Major.

The next stop in the 2021-2022 Dota 2 Pro Circuit will be at Arlington, Texas. This will be the final Major for the current DPC Season, which will then solidify the positions of the pro teams in the circuit.

PGL announced that they will be hosting the Major through a press release.

“DOTA 2 has a lot of fans in the US, and Arlington has a perfect location for tournaments of this caliber: Esports Stadium,” says PGL CEO Silviu Stroie. “We are fortunate to be back in North America with another Major after Boston. We love to run events in the USA, and we have wonderful memories from 2016: it was a great tournament, and the fans were fantastic. Having a tremendous tournament with DOTA 2 enthusiasts in the stands after a long time will be great!”

The Arlington Major will be the first time a DPC Major will be held in the USA since the establishment of the DPC system in 2016. The last Major Dota 2 tournament to be held in the USA was the Boston Major back in 2016, which was won by OG. The Majors was due to return to the USA with the Los Angeles Major back in 2020 but was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
