Fans of nine more teams will get to show their love and appreciation for their favorites in Dota 2.

Nine teams have joined the new Supporters Clubs feature of Dota 2, created to allow fans to support their teams on the road to The International 10. These teams are:

  1. OG
  2. NoPing Esports
  3. Fnatic
  4. Na'Vi
  5. 4Zoomers
  6. Infamous Gaming
  7. B8 Esports
  8. The Cut
  9. Extremum

The nine teams bring up the total to 26, with more teams expected to release their content very soon.

Earlier this week, Valve released the ‘Supporters Clubs' feature in Dota 2. The feature allows fans to buy tiered downloadable cosmetic content as a way to support their teams. Buying the perks will unlock personalized stickers, emoticons, badges, and even voice lines that players can use. Meanwhile, the content produced by the teams will also benefit them financially. 50% of all sales from this feature will go straight to the teams, allowing fans to support them directly.

The feature comes in three tiers: Bronze ($2), Silver ($10), and Gold ($20). All of the features will remain in players’ inventories until the end of TI10. Supporters Clubs will persist after TI10, with Valve confirming that future content will expire at the end of each Dota 2 Major.

The International 10 will be held in the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden from August 5-15, 2021. Currently, the tournament's prize pool stands at $40,018,195, the majority of which came from Valve's earnings from the 2020 Battle Pass. Valve has not given any word yet if there will still be a Battle Pass this year. Hence, the prize pool may still grow in value if ever there will be a 2021 Battle Pass. Meanwhile, Valve also has just announced the Dota 2 Short Film Contest, which will have a $40,000 prize pool.
