YouTube streamer Dr. Disrespect is trying to negotiate a deal with Netflix. If this happens, The Doc will be the first streamer to partner on Netflix. Most notably, this is a huge step forward for Netflix into the gaming world, as their acquisition of The Doc would definitely legitimize their entry.

It’s been a little over a year since Dr. Disrespect got banned from Twitch. Up until this day, nobody knows the reason behind his expulsion. Since then, the streamer moved on from the platform that made him famous and tried streaming once again on YouTube. However, despite getting a decent amount of viewership on his streams, Dr. Disrespect is still in search of a platform he can call home. Because of this, the rising YouTube star decided to knock on Netflix’s door.

On his most recent streams, Dr. Disrespect would bring up the topic of signing a deal with Netflix. The titanic Californian on-demand video streaming service plans on adding a streaming category to their library.  With that being said, The Doc wants to build a streaming empire with the video platform. And, what better way to do it than to team up with arguably the best video streaming service platform there is out there?

Netflix plans on forging a path to the gaming realm. If the company decides to entertain Dr. Disrespect’s offer, the deal would open a lot of doors. Not only will Netflix enter the gaming scene, but other streamers could also have the opportunity to make the switch. Also, Netflix would be able to tap into the gamer demographic which only means more viewership potentially coming their way. However, it's worth noting that it takes more than just signing a popular streamer to make a platform successful, such was the case with Ninja and Shroud for Mixer.
