Bioware announced that they will be missing the July 22 EA Play Live stream. This means: don't expect Dragon Age 4Mass Effect 4, and Star Wars: The Old Republic to show up during the event.

Bioware announced via Twitter earlier today that they won't be available to appear on EA Play Live later this month. “We’re hard at work creating the next Dragon Age and Mass Effect games and have some exciting stuff coming to Star Wars: The Old Republic this year.” However, this was quickly followed up by a confirmation that they won't be appearing in the EA Play Live later this month. At least we know they're working on all of this stuff, right? Right?

In any case, at least Star Wars: The Old Republic fans got something going for them. While it also won't appear on EA Play Live, the game received its own live stream earlier today. The MMORPG's new expansion, Legacy of the Sith, made its reveal through the live stream. We wish Mass Effect or Dragon Age gets its own, too, later this year.

The expansion will introduce new storylines which will have you hunting down Darth Malgus on the planet of Manaan. The expansion will also increase the level cap to 80, along with new Flash Point and Operations for players. Most importantly, quality-of-life improvements will come their way in this expansion, with upgraded character customization, itemization, and class designs upgrades. Speaking of class designs, there will be new Combat Styles coming to Legacy of the Sith. These will let you “independently [choose] a specific class story and combining it with ability sets from other related tech or Force-wielding classes.”

Legacy of the Sith does not have a release date yet, but it will be coming this Holiday 2021.
