Five long years have passed since the Golden State Warriors selected a chubby, unrefined, do-it-all forward hailing from Michigan State, using the third of their four picks in the 2012 NBA Draft to snatch him off the board with the 35th overall selection.

Now a proven All-Star and in the conversation for his first potential Defensive Player of the Year award, Draymond Green still remembers every single team that passed on him and which player they selected before finding a home in the Bay Area, impressively still being able to recite it after having won two championships in the last three years.

Green darted off the first 23 players with ease before going back in his mind to finally recall that Jared Cunningham was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers through an acquired picked from the Los Angeles Lakers, then soon traded to the Dallas Mavericks.

While some players have a chip on their shoulder, Green has those 34 chips driving him to prove to every NBA franchise what a steal he was in that 2012 NBA Draft.

Guess some things never leave a man, no matter how much success they earn.

The Warriors made a significantly similar pick this year, selecting defensive ace Jordan Bell with the 38th overall pick after buying it from the Chicago Bulls in exchange for $3.5 million. Subsequently, Golden State signed Bell's teammate, undrafted rookie Chris Boucher to a two-way deal.
