Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was one of the driving forces behind a 106-99 win over the Utah Jazz last Thursday — his defensive efforts were priceless down the stretch as his team held on to the win in the last minute.

One of the reasons driving his spirited play are the alleged quotes of Jazz coach Quin Snyder, as Green claims the 50-year-old coach said to let him shoot.

Green was a sharp 4-of-6 from beyond the arc and finished with a tally of 13 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, and four steals for good measure.

When asked where the quotes came from, the undersized power forward said his mom had texted them to him — of course after some quick online checking, the quotes were nowhere to be found.

Teammate Kevin Durant doubted the veracity of it when asked where he heard the quotes from, ultimately saying “Yeah, I heard it from Draymond (shrugs), I don't know how true that is, but it's what teams want, they want Draymond to shoot the three.”

While it's unknown if it's Green himself, or maybe some sticks thrown to the fire by “DrayMom,” it has certainly worked – he's been hot from deep, shooting 12-of-20 during his last four games.
