It has often times been in professional sports where there are comparisons drawn between some of the top athletes in their respective realms.

During a recent interview with ESPN Halftime during the El Clasico in Miami on Saturday between Real Madrid and Barcelona, Golden State Warriors All-Star forward Draymond Green compared his teammate Stephen Curry and four-time league MVP LeBron James to a couple of the star players in soccer.

“LeBron is more Cristiano,” Green said. “Neymar is more like Steph.”

“I think he can really propel a team to the next level,” Green said. “When you look at the Golden State Warriors, Steph propelled us to another level, and I think Neymar can do that as well and win championships.”

The comparison between James and Cristiano Ronaldo is somewhat fair given that both have been arguably the best players at their craft for several years through their sheer talent, size, and strength. They both are still at the height of their ability despite being 32 years old with still several mores years of spectacular play ahead of them respectively.

Meanwhile, Curry and Neymar do hold some similarities as the two are game-changing talent and among the top players in their sports. They each are crucial pieces to the puzzle of championship-caliber teams and can carry the scoring load at times.

There are some striking similarities between these four top professional athletes, which only speaks to their tremendous abilities in their own respective sports. It may be hard to compare how players in different sports, but these are reasonable to draw that conclusion.
