Draymond Green attended the Basketball Hall of Fame induction on Friday night in support of his college coach Tom Izzo, who mentored the Golden State Warriors forward over a four-year career at Michigan State.

After the event, Green revealed another reason he was incredibly excited to attend the event – the induction of the one and only Allen Iverson.

Shortly after the ceremony, Green shared a picture of himself with Iverson on Instagram. He was clearly ecstatic that Iverson agreed to take a photo with him and shared the way in which the legendary guard served as a source of inspiration to him.

“To get this pic with AI meant a lot to me right after I asked him for the pic and he said yes. The excitement I had after the pic was UNREAL… After witnessing his speech it means even more. Real always recognize Real… So to everybody who wants me to change, blame AI, because he just reminded me of something…I only know how to be me! SN: I wish he wore a tee and the chains hahaha”

As well as his Instagram upload, Green used Twitter to express how impressed he was with Iverson’s speech.
