The highly anticipated airing of Bleacher Report's new show Chips with Draymond Green made its official debut. The sit-down between Green and former teammate two-time NBA champion Kevin Durant is finally here. KD revealed why he decided to leave the Golden State Warriors, and Green gave his side of the story.

It was a no-brainer that the public argument between Green and Durant played a significant role in the departure of the latter. In this interview, Durant added another layer to the story that occurred a few years ago while playing for the Dubs.

“It wasn't the argument. It was the way that everybody, Steve Kerr, acted like it didn't happen. Bob Myers just tried to just discipline you and think that would put the mask over everything,” Kevin Durant told Draymond Green.

Not exactly the answer people expected, but the answer Durant gave. Then things turned a little more awkward when Green gave his response. Green says Bob Myers attempted to get him to apologize to Durant. He said he had multiple meetings with Myers after the incident and recalled telling him.

“Y'all are about to f— this up. I said, ‘The only person that can make this right is me and K (Kevin Durant). And there is nothing that y'all can do, and y'all are going to f— this up.' And in my opinion, they f—– it up,” Draymond Green said.

Durant promptly agrees with Green on the handling of the situation, but are they right about what transpired? Teammates often have verbal altercations and sometimes physical confrontations during an NBA season. Most of the time, you won't hear about it because it typically happens behind closed doors. This situation between Durant and Green occurred under the national spotlight, so it was different.

Should Kerr have been more involved, or did he handle it the right way? According to Durant, Kerr acted as if nothing happened and continued to do his job, which is coach. Draymond Green didn't mention Kerr, but he told Bob Myers and whoever else was pushing for him to apologize to stay out of it. If Kerr followed the instructions of Green, then he was a part of the reason Kevin Durant left but only because of his loyalty to Green.

It sounds like if this situation never happened, Durant might still be a part of the Warriors. The one thing that could have stopped this entire blow-up was if Green passed Durant the ball after grabbing that rebound.

Now everything looks to be on the up and up with Kevin Durant and Draymond Green, and this should be the end of this chapter of Warriors' history so that everyone can move on or, in the words of Kendrick Perkins, carry on.
