Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green heard about the Houston Rockets' whispers leading up to their duel on Wednesday.
The comments pretty much revolved around the Rockets' supreme confidence that they'll outlast the defending champions once again. After the game, Green downplayed such comments and dismissed them as “dumb.”
Per Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Draymond Green acknowledged that Houston should be confident. But for Green, his team was not bothered by all the talking. At the end of the game, they managed to beat the home team.
“I’m not sure stupidity juices up anyone.”

With the playoffs just around the corner, tensions are flaring for both the Warriors and Rockets. Not only are they the top teams in the NBA, but they're also the top choices for battling it out in the Western Conference finals. Indeed, there's a deep and rough history between the two teams.
Golden State seemingly had a victory sealed in their second duel on Jan. 3 against the shorthanded Rockets. However, Harden put on his best foot forward. Not only did he send the game to overtime, but he drained a game-winning 3-pointer over two defenders. This may have been the confidence booster that they used as ammo.
But on Wednesday, the Warriors had other ideas. They know about Houston's ability to climb back. They stopped an impending run late in the fourth. It felt like another heartbreaking loss was about to come, but Green and the Dubs locked in defensively to beat the Rockets and avoid what would have been an embarrassing sweep.
