When it's Kevin Durant on the line, you do whatever it takes to get him on your team.

That's the method Draymond Green went with at least.

Green recently revealed while making an appearance on Conan that he thought his recruitment of Durant to join the Golden State Warriors was “stalkerish”.

I recruited KD really really hard. And it was like the equivalent of a college coach trying to get a top-five recruit – although I would’ve broke every NCAA rule there was, because I called him a million times. I text him a million and one times. And I tried to show up wherever he was every chance I got.

Whatever Green did, it paid off. KD decided Golden State was the team for him and the rest is history.

Green and Durant spent a lot of time together this summer in Rio with Team USA during the Olympics, so they probably talked about this recruitment and have come to terms with it by now.

More from Green:

When I found out he was coming, I came back to my senses, and I said, “I wonder if he respects me as a man now, the way I just blew his phone up.” He had to have a girlfriend who got on his nerves worse than that before. So, I questioned myself.

This is pretty great stuff from Green.
