The Green Bay Packers were in position to go into halftime with a lead thanks to the efforts of quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Allen Lazard. However, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees was able to respond by capping an 11-play, 61-yard drive with a touchdown pass to wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders to move ahead 17-13, via NFL Twitter:

This high-profile showdown has managed to fit the billing with both teams trading punches to end the first half. Although Green Bay may have though they had the momentum thanks to a quick score, the Saints answered back with 10 unanswered points to stay on top.

Sanders arrived as one of the more notable offseason additions for the Saints. Unfortunately, he has largely struggled to find his footing in the New Orleans offense with only four receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown during the first two games. Despite the modest production, the veteran appears to be emerging as a safety net in the red zone for Brees and the Saints.
