The announcement of the new Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) led to the formation of new squads, most of which feature old faces. This time, Kim “DuBu” Doo-young and David “MoonMeander” Tan return to the North American (NA) region for this season. The two are forming a new team called Team Undying.

FROM PANDAS TO CR4ZY TO TEAM UNDYING

DuBu and MoonMeander's stack Team Undying is composed of names we're all familiar with. Most specifically, a majority of this new team consists of three members of Cr4zy. MoonMeander and Bryle were both teammates in Cr4zy right up to its disbandment last October 2020. Meanwhile, DuBu was the team's coach. DuBu's return to play may have even been influenced by his former teammate's return from retirement. Just last week, Kim “Febby” Yong-min was officially added to the TNC Predator roster through the DPC registration portal.

Meanwhile, SA stars Jonáš “SabeRLight-” Volek and Enzo “Timado” Gianoli O'Connor complete the roster.

Valve announced the return of the DPC for its new season on the last day of 2020. This marks the official return of the professional Dota 2 league, and teams are now back on the road to The International. While the biggest tournament of all esports skipped a year, this time, nothing can stop The International from happening. Teams like Team Undying have emerged, with many players returning to the fray from inactivity. Some pros have been come out of retirement to have one more jab at the Aegis of Immortals.

Valve sent out direct invites to the new season's first major tournaments for the top-performing teams and organizations, as well as stacks of well-known players. Meanwhile, new teams like Team Undying will have to go through the qualifiers to even get a shot at the regional leagues.

This year, regional leagues replace the Dota 2 Minors. These regional leagues will culminate to Majors, of which there will be two this year. The qualifiers started this week, with the first regional leagues kicking off as early as January 18. Meanwhile, the Majors are scheduled for March 25 to April 4 and June 2 to June 13. While The International itself doesn't have a set date yet, the tournament dates for the DPC so far indicates that Valve will still stick to an August schedule.
