Former Auburn Tigers quarterback Bo Nix announced his decision to enter the transfer portal following the 2021 season. The former Tigers QB missed a chunk of the season with an ankle injury, and decided to seek greener pastures for the 2022 season and beyond.

Well, Nix has chosen his new college football home, and he could not have picked pastures much greener than he did, having chosen to join the Oregon Ducks. Nix announced the decision via his Instagram.

The move to Oregon makes sense for Nix, who was replaced by TJ Finley after his ankle injury. Nix will now rejoin forces with former Auburn quarterbacks coach Kenny Dillingham, who was hired to the Oregon staff by new head coach Dan Lanning. With the Ducks, Dillingham will serve as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, meaning he'll be working in close contact with Nix during his tenure in Eugene.

Throughout three seasons at Auburn, Nix, who is the son of former Auburn quarterback Patrick Nix, recorded 39 touchdown passes and 16 interceptions, while rushing for 859 yards and 18 touchdowns. Despite his close connection to the Auburn program, Nix decided to seek out a better opportunity for himself and thinks he's found one in Eugene.

Nix will likely be engaged in a quarterback competition with sophomore-to-be Ty Thompson, a former four-star quarterback out of Arizona who served as the backup to graduate transfer Anthony Brown in 2021. The Ducks are looking for a strong start in the post-Mario Cristobal era, so the team will undoubtedly welcome the additional experience in the quarterbacks room.
