Kevin Durant made it clear that from now on he will speak his mind out and lessen the filters he uses.

The prized recruit of the Golden State Warriors knows that whether or not he is being careful with his responses, the media will try to blow it out of proportion, and he'll once again be in the headlines.

Speaking to Monte Poole of CSN Bay Area after his team's practice on Tuesday, the 2014 MVP talked about his new approach when asked to give his thoughts on certain topics by the members of the press.

“Man, whatever I say is going to be twisted up.”

“So I can't … I'm just going to say how I feel from now on. People that know me know what I mean, so it is what it is. Anything I say will be twisted up and be a headline. So it is what it is.”

This comes after the seven-time all-star felt he was misinterpreted once again after his comments on being happy that the Warriors lost Game 7 of the NBA Finals back in June.

Should Durant stay true to his word and use his new way of addressing questions thrown at him, he will not be the first player from his team to do so. Draymond Green has been known for saying what comes to his mind first and not holding back, as he also believes whatever he says will still be misunderstood.

This could mean a big change on how people will perceive Durant, as he has always been known as a soft-spoken person. If there will be a big difference in his demeanor when speaking to media personnel is anybody's guess at this point, but as the season is about to begin, one thing for sure is there will be more public appearances.
