In the midst of his own contract negotiations, Heat free agent shooting guard Dwyane Wade took to Twitter early today to congratulate fellow teammate Hassan Whiteside for his reported 4-year, 98$ million contract and, in addition, hilariously ask him to borrow 5$.

While Wade certainly has money to spare, evident by his extravagant trip to Spain with fellow NBA friends Chris Paul and LeBron James, the 13-year veteran comically joked about the breakdown in negotiations between the Heat and Wade's camp. The three-time champion has spent his entire career with the Miami organization, but his agents now threaten to leave South Beach should the Heat not comply with contract demands.

Whiteside's contract and Wade's free agent situation come in the midst of the Heat's pursuit of top free agent Kevin Durant who will meet with Miami in the coming weekend. With his decision still in the air, Miami will try to remain as flexible as possible with their cap room, somewhat explaining the difficult negotiations with the 12-time all-star. Despite teams around the league showing interest in the aging veteran, analysts and experts expect Wade to stay in his only NBA hometown.
