Following Dwyane Wade‘s departure from the Miami Heat, there has been an intense media interest on his relationship with Heat president, Pat Riley.

Wade, who starred for Miami since being drafted in 2003, was involved in two years of contract talks with the organization, before leaving this summer to join his hometown team Chicago Bulls in free agency after negotiations broke down.

The three-time NBA champion returned to face his old team for the first time on Thursday night and revealed that he appreciates Riley, also affirming that he has no hard feelings toward the front office. It was also confirmed, finally, that Riley has reached out to Wade.

Wade helped lead the Bulls to victory on the night, picking up 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists in a 98-95 victory.
