Former Miami Heat shooting guard, Dwyane Wade, made an appearance on “Live with Kelly” and talked about the free-agent process that led him to signing with the Chicago Bulls.

Wade, while serving as co-host to Kelly Ripa, discussed “Heat Nation” and his appreciation and continued dedication to the fans that he spent 13 years with in South Beach. He also talked about being a kid from Chicago being able to play in Miami, and now being able to play for the franchise he has always dreamed of joining.

Wade also talks about how difficult the decision was. He could not sleep, and he also lost anywhere between 5 and 10 pounds because he was not able to eat. It couldn't have been easy for Wade to discuss, let alone make the decision to leave Miami. Wade signed a contract with the Chicago Bulls for two years, worth $47 million.

He will be paired in the backcourt with one of his old nemesis, Rajon Rondo, as well as an up-and-coming superstar in Jimmy Butler.

D-Wade explained how the feeling is “surreal,” as if it has not hit him yet that he is no longer a Heat lifer. As far as many are concerned, Miami will always be “Wade County.”
