Miami Heat free agent Dwyane Wade has reportedly changed his contract demands during free agency.

Now, the 12-time All-Star is requesting an additional $5 million per year, making the contract 2-years, $50 million. Heat general manager Pat Riley will have to move fast in order to secure Wade's loyalty for what's most likely the rest of his career.

The three-time champion has threatened to take his talents to another franchise, yet most around the league believe that Wade has been using these threats as leverage in contract negotiations with the Heat. The two-time NBA first-team shooting guard was frustrated with the Heat prioritizing free agents Kevin Durant and Hassan Whiteside over himself.

Wade canceled his meeting with the Milwaukee Bucks earlier this morning after reportedly going through talks with the Wisconsin franchise. Head coach Jason Kidd knew, however, that the Bucks were a long-shot, as the team could only offer $17 million for the shooting guard's services.

The Denver Nuggets have remained heavily in the hunt for Wade, as Denver has the cap space to offer Wade his expensive contract and the desperation to sign a marquee free agent to boost fan interest. Wade, however, has played all 12 of his seasons in South Beach, and, even though the 2006 Finals MVP has drawn many suitors, Miami still leads the pack for the 2009 NBA Scoring Champion's signature.
