Even with a lot of rumors that surfaced recently about the Chicago Bulls making him available in the trade market, Jimmy Butler has continued his impressive play this season as he helped his team get back on track with a three-game winning streak.

The two-time All-Star's professionalism and strong play of late has not gone unnoticed as his teammate, Dwyane Wade, raved about him and talked about his confidence.

“He's playing as good as anybody in the league right now. What he's doing in the fourth quarter is even more impressive than the stat line at the end of the day. That stat line is amazing, but everybody knows we're going to Jimmy. And to still be able to make those plays, make those things, it's incredible. And then to still guard one or two of the other best players on the other end of the floor in the fourth, that's impressive, man. He's playing out of this world right now. His confidence is out the roof, and that goes a long way.”

Wade also discussed Butler's mentality, which makes him stand out from other talented players in the league.

“So many guys in this league have talent. Everyone in this league has talent. There's a lot of things that separate guys and that's one of them — the mentality. The mentality that it takes to — even if you're having a bad game like in Cleveland he wasn't shooting well, to still be able to do that in the clutch, that's big time. Those players, those are special players right there. And he's putting himself in the category of just special.”

Despite the trade rumors surrounding him, Butler has not allowed them to serve as a distraction as he remains focused on the task at hand and that is to lead to Bulls to the playoffs.

If he'll be able to sustain his current run, it will make it easier for the team to reach their goal of making a return trip to the postseason after just missing out on it last year.
