During his prime, Dwyane Wade was widely considered as one of the best players in the NBA. His combination of speed and athleticism has made him complete a lot of highlight reel-worthy plays in his early days in the league, including a vicious poster slam he made against Anderson Varejao, when he was still playing for the Miami Heat.

The date was November 12, 2009, and early in that season, The Flash sent a strong message to the rest of the competition that he was ready to lead his team to greater heights, and that he was as healthy as ever. Leading a fastbreak in the first quarter against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Wade went coast-to-coast before hammering down one of the best dunks of that year, over the Brazilian international, who was a defensive-minded big man.

Wade was asked recently by one of his fans on Twitter what was going through his mind when he threw down that slam, and the now 35-year-old gave a savage reply, saying he knew Varejao was going to cry in his car after the game.

Wade has always been active on social media, and finds time to remain in touch with his fans. Now in the summer, he has more time answering random questions, which he has been doing a lot of lately. Despite his advanced age, he continues to prove that it's just a number for him, and that he can still be an effective contributor for his team.

Last season, he averaged solid numbers of 18.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.4 steals per game, in his first year playing for his hometown team. If he can stay healthy in the coming years, he may still produce some highlight plays, maybe not the same as his dunk on Varejao, but still as impressive given where his career is now.
