The Los Angeles Lakers have won the title after a 10-year drought, following Sunday's series-clinching Game 6 victory over the Miami Heat. The duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis exhibted their dominance yet again in the blowout win, which prompted a well-deserved congratulatory message from Dwyane Wade.

Wade took to Twitter to send his congrats to his good buddy LeBron:

Wade also sent his compliments to fellow Chicago-native Anthony Davis:

Even before the series started, Wade made it abundantly clear that he was backing the Heat in this series. As we all know, Wade is best friends with LeBron, but also, he spent majority of his career in Miami. He was sort of stuck between a rock and a hard place, but in the end, it wasn't too tough a decision for him to offer his unwavering support to Miami.

Wade even had his far share of smack talk throughout the series, but in the end, fair play to him for taking the L gracefully.

With the championship in the bag, the dynamic duo of LeBron and Davis have now officially etched their names in the storied franchise history of the Purple & Gold. They join legendary Lakers duos of the past such as Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal, Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Jerry West and Elgin Baylor.

The only difference between them right now is that the other three duos have all won multiple championships for L.A. — something that LeBron and AD will hope to accomplish next term.
