While the deluge of announcements from E3 2021 has concluded, EA still has some surprises in store this summer. EA Play Live will air on July 22. It will also be accompanied by a pre-show at 10 AM PST.

As for what to expect, BioWare has already announced that they'll be missing out on EA Play Live. This means we won't be seeing the next Dragon Age, Mass Effect, or Star Wars: The Old Republic games at EA play. However, they did say that they were “hard at work” on these games.

Battlefield 2042, coming out October 22, is a highly probable bet to make a showing. It was shown off at the Microsoft E3 conference, but only with a gameplay trailer. As we get nearer to the release date, we can expect them to ramp up marketing for the game – perhaps a gameplay demo to show off more.

Aside from that, we can expect the yearly cycle of sports games: FIFA, Madden NFL, NBA Live, and the like. Live-service games like Apex Legends will also almost surely be featured at EA Play Live.

There are also rumors of a Dead Space remake cooking up at EA Motive. The series has been sitting quietly since 2013's Dead Space 3. It's suspected that the remake will take its cues from Capcom's Resident Evil series of remakes.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Mass Effect: Legendary Edition also released to great success recently, which may have warmed EA up to the idea of producing more Triple-A single-player games again.
