When the Philadelphia Eagles selected Jalen Hurts in the second round, many people thought it was because of Carson Wentz's injury history. Well they were wrong. It was so the Eagles could prepare more accurately against their Week 6 matchup against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens!

All jokes aside, Hurts has been as close to Lamar Jackson as you can get at an Eagles practice.

“He’s given us a great look. So far, so good,” Brandon Graham said, according to NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Dave Zangaro. “Yesterday was really good seeing the speed of what we’re going to see. Of course, he’s not Lamar, but he’s fast, too. To see the speed of what they’re showing us and how fast things happen, it’s definitely going to help us Sunday. I think with him that plays right into what he does.”

The Eagles come into this game at 1-3-1 with a struggling Carson Wentz.

So far in the 2020 season, Wentz is averaging 237.6 YPG, with 6 TD's and 9 INT's.

He already has two more INT's than he did all of last year and he's posting career lows in completion percentage, touchdown percentage, QBR and career high's in Sack% and INT% (the lower the score, the better). It wouldn't be a crazy assumption to think that Hurts is close to making his NFL debut. Maybe all he needs to do is to put on a show at practice and soon he'll be calling the plays in the huddle.

There's nothing that could be more exciting for a football fan than a potential Lamar Jackson vs Jalen Hurts matchup. Fingers crossed.
